Dog Houses
Dog Houses
If you like seeing your dog happy, and you are looking to invest in something that your dog is sure to love and enjoy, you should definitely look into dog houses. There is a unique bond which develops over time; your dog becomes part of the family and should be treated as such. Many people who do not own dogs, do not understand the bond which develops and often criticise ideas of buying expensive items for your dogs, however when there isn’t much you can purchase for your dog, why not spend plenty on this.
Most doghouses are made with wood, others are made with metal. The majority are made to look like little sheds, which can be an attractive option. It depends which kind of home you are trying to give your dog.
People purchase these for many reasons; the first reason on most people’s list is to properly care for their dog. They want to give it a solid place meant purely for him, where he can spend hot days, nap and sleep. This may seem trivial however it is not.
Wanting to spend money on your dog is in no way a bad thing, however you want to ensure that this money is utilised and spent well, not wasted. The most important thing to consider is the size of your dog, and the size of the house he will need to be comfortable. Do not think that a huge house is what a small dog will want.
If you want to purchase a dog house, it is best to do it whilst they are still puppies. This is so they have plenty of time to get used to the idea. And they are also far more open to learning new things and not quite so set in their ways.
Time and patience are needed if you have an adult dog when you purchase a house. Not all dogs will be happy or open to the idea. The last thing you want is to waste your money or time taking it back, so be prepared to spend time trying to get your dog accustomed to it. This may be tiresome and annoying but stick with it.
Dog houses mean your dog can be happy inside, and outside the home, for example, if you decide to take a trip. It can be one of the best purchases you make for your dog so put adequate thought into the idea. Auto Traffic Avalanche

1) First of all, you need to establish your position as the boss or leader to your dog. This is a must when it comes to training. MITES DOG
Due to infestation of mites dog has to suffer a lot. Mites are small parasitic creatures that cling to the body of dogs and find out ways to enter in the epidermal layer of skin. There are various types of mites but the mites that are concerned with dogs are of two types viz Demodex mites and Sarcoptic mites (Scabies). Scabies mites are more troublesome than Demodex mites.
If dust mites are present at home then it also affects the pet in your house. Due to dust mites dog develops an allergy. It also reacts to enzyme which acts to degrade chitin. Scabies mites bite is more harmful to dogs. Due to scabies mites dog develops red bumps on his skin which does away on its own and leads to extreme itchiness on skin. Scabies is a disease which is spread through one to one contact of dogs or with humans.
Dust mites and scabies mites are not only culprit in spreading of disease to dogs. There are many other mites and bug which makes life of dog miserable sometimes. Flea tops the list of mites. Dog Whisperer
Dog Whisperer
Dog whisperer, this title given to dog trainers has always intrigued me. In fact there is very little whispering going on when you are training dogs.
I should know, I have been around all kinds of animals throughout my life, and none of them ever responded to a whispered command.
So in terms the name dog whisperer is a misnomer, but however we will go with the term for now.
Like I have said I have been around animals, or should I say, they have been around me all my life.
I grew up on a small farm with pigs, horses, donkeys, all kinds of poultry, and of course cats and dogs. My favourite animals have always been pigs, horses, and of course dogs. My special interest in dogs came to me when I was a small boy. I was bitten by a staff bull terrier at the back of my leg. Fortunately I was running away from him at the time or else he would have scarred me for life.
Why I took special interest in dog behaviour came right after that episode, when the owner kept screaming at the dog to stop and go back to him, but it just point blank would not obey the command.
How many times have you seen similar situations where dogs chase people, or other dogs and no matter what the owner does to stop them, they just cannot get a response from the dog. It’s like the dog has a mind of it’s own. Well lets face it, they do. And it is this part of the dog that the dog trainer must gain access too. The big question is how is this done. Well let me tell you, it is all about gaining control, not by intimidation, not by offering treats, although sometimes it is no harm if the dog has accomplished a difficult command to give him a tiny snack. Please, please, never give them chocolate.
Dogs cannot digest chocolate, and it can make them very sick because it just lies in the stomach where eventually it will be regurgitated, after the dog has felt unwell for a period of time. So please no chocolate.
It is wonderful to see a well behaved dog doing exactly what the owner tells it to do. Now it is not necessary to go above and beyond the normal training required just to give the dog some domestic manners, unless of course you want to put the dog into Crofts dog show. This kind of obedience training is done over quite a long time, but it is fantastic what some of these dogs are capable of doing. Just to give your dog discipline when you are out walking so that they do not drag on the lead, or break away from you to chase other dogs, or sit and beg, or just sit when you want to talk to a friend when out walking, these types of behaviour are not difficult to teach once you know the techniques, and there are many many eBooks and other forms of teaching methods available. The route I would advise you to go is definitely the eBook method, because it is always packed full of excellent techniques and methods of teaching. Remember no chocolate.

Housebreaking Dogs
Housebreaking Dogs
Owning a dog should be a very rewarding experience for you and your family. Your dog will become part of your family and you will soon come to love and cherish him or her just like any other member.
But with dog ownership also comes a lot of responsibility. You must make sure that your dog is trained properly from the beginning or you may face a lot of problems with your dog in the future.
Housebreaking dogs will be the first thing you will have to do on the road to training. This is where you train your dog to go to the toilet a outside and show him or her the rules of the house and what is expected of him. This can also be the most frustrating and time consuming part of your dogs training and is where many people fall short. Housebreaking dogs should start the moment you get your new puppy or dog and will take weeks or longer depending on your dog and the effort you put in.
The more effort you put in to begin with the better because once a dog is house broken you will be able to take it with you to friends houses and away on holiday with you knowing that it will behave as you wish and not show you up in any way.
Once your dog is house broken you should move on to more advanced training depending on what you want from your dog. Taking your dog for a walk should be a pleasure for you and this will be the next part of you dogs training. You should be able to take your dog out on its leash without it pulling you down the street or attacking other dogs or even people. You should get your dog used to other animals and people as soon as possible and this will help to make your dog more social and behave when in the company of people and other dogs.
A well trained dog will be a pleasure to own and will be a credit to you and your family and give you years of happy dog ownership.
